FORUM Family Office ("FORUM") has acquired 100% of the shares in brain-SCC GmbH, based in Merseburg, via its industry holding company FORUM Software Mittelstandsholding SE. The company has around 35 employees and generates revenue of approximately €10 million.
Following the merger to form brain-SCC GmbH in 2007 by Sirko Scheffler and Prof. Dr. Ronny Weinkauf, brain-SCC initially developed into a leading provider of CMS software for municipal portals. The technical lead is based on brain-GeoCMS, which was used very early on to combine web-based geodata applications with classic editorial systems on one technical platform.
In 2021, the company achieved a breakthrough by winning the EfA project for the "Digital building permit" focus service. The solution is currently being used by 10 federal states. A special technical feature is the newly developed process space technology ("VGR").
The continuation concept of FORUM provides for a continuation of the corporate strategy in all essential points. In particular, the staff and location in Merseburg will be retained. The VGR technology is to be made compatible with the VOIS technology of FORUM's sister company HSH Software in Ahrensfelde and marketed in the VOIS community.
Prof. Dr. Ronny Weinkauf is a full-time lecturer at Merseburg University of Applied Sciences in the fields of economics and information sciences.
In addition to his main role as Managing Director of brain-SCC, Sirko Scheffler is also Chairman of the Board of DATABUND, Chairman of the Saxony-Anhalt Economic Council, a member of the Board of Kommune X.0, buergerservice.org, Cluster IT Mitteldeutschland and numerous other organizations.

FORUM invests the assets of a Munich family in medium-sized companies.
