Many former FORUM employees have remained true to their passion for investing and have made a career at other investment companies. We would like to present a small selection below:
Jens Reidel is an "employee of the first hour". In 1990 - after the fall of the Berlin Wall - we bought a number of companies together from the Treuhandanstalt. Jens then moved to BC Partners and played a key role in building up their German organisation.
After working at BCG, Marika Osterloff worked for FORUM in the Value Investing department from 2000 - 2005. Besides good research, she impressed us with her sports like skydiving and kitesurfing. After several interim positions, she currently heads the Finnish office of the Norwegian PE firm Norvestor as a partner.
Jeremie Couix worked for FORUM in the Value Investing department from 2005 - 2010. He then worked for Discover Capital. In 2014, he founded HC Capital Advisors with another FORUM alumnus and advises funds focused on European small caps. The first fund Squad European Convictions regularly performs among the top 10% of all European smallcap funds.
Ryan Krafft worked in value investing at FORUM from 2007 to 2010. After a short stopover with another investment manager, he returned to the USA and set up his own fund for European small caps called Scott Capital Partners in 2015. His performance since inception has been around 20% p.a., well above the benchmark. He is the person on the right in the photo.
"At FORUM, I was able to immerse myself in value investing and lay the foundation for my investment career. Working with Burkhard was very fruitful - it always fascinated me how quickly he sees through a business model and identifies the really important points. I learned a lot from him, especially critical thinking."
