The founders of Therasoft GmbH (product name: "Therapsy") Eric Vollenweider and Florian Leitner sold their company today to a consortium of Forum Family Office and an entrepreneurial successor for the operational business management. Eric and Florian founded Therapsy in 2017 as robotics students with the goal of providing a modern ERP for psychotherapists.
With over 6000 psychotherapists, Therapsy has become number one in its target market in Austria in just 5 years. Vincent, the entrepreneurial successor, wants to further expand the market leadership in Austria and to enter the market in the big neighboring country Germany. FORUM will provide Vincent and his team with its resources and know-how as needed.
This is FORUM's second investment in Austria. In addition, FORUM is creating the basis for offering a venture lab for young entrepreneurs who are still in the start-up phase and want to develop their company in a professional environment with a lot of best practice. A strong 5th member in our Healthcare Group.
FORUM Family Office invests the assets of a Munich family in medium-sized companies. FORUM's principles in family equity for succession solutions are: permanent, decentralized, entrepreneurial - quite different from financial investors. This also applies to young companies looking for an experienced sparring partner for their growth plans. This approach has already persuaded more than 23 entrepreneurs to entrust FORUM with their life's work. In total, the companies generated sales of about € 160 million last year with about 1,200 employees.
