FORUM Family Office GmbH("FORUM") has acquired 100% of the shares in Hawako AG ("Hawako"), based in Basel/Switzerland, as part of the entrepreneurial succession.

Hawako deals in components, apparatus and accessories for water treatment and thus fits perfectly into the existing activities of the FORUM Water Group. The company was founded by Gerhard Hassler in 1975. In the business year 2020/21(31.7.) the turnover was about CHF 1.3 million.

With the acquisition, FORUM creates a presence in Switzerland with which this market can be better served in the future: customs clearance is eliminated, logistics become faster, and the specific requirements of the Swiss market can be specifically served. In this respect, the location and the entire team will be retained - they are the strength of Hawako!

Hawako's existing customers thus have access to the breadth of products and services of the larger Forum Water Group. At the same time, the proven team around Oliver Hassler remains as contact person. The founder Mr. Gerhard Hassler is available for a transitional period to ensure continuity.

Hawako is FORUM's first investment in Switzerland. FORUM and its participations are looking for other family-owned companies in Switzerland that are looking for a partner in the context of a succession solution that guarantees the preservation and careful further development of their life's work.
