brain-SCC GmbH is a leading provider of CMS software for municipal portals with a turnover of around € 10 million and 35 employees. The technical lead is based on the brain-Geo CMS, which was used very early on to combine web-based geodata applications with classic editorial systems on a single technical platform.

brain-SCC GmbH was founded in 2007 following a merger by Sirko Scheffler and Prof. Dr. Ronny Weinkauf  

In 2021, the company achieved a breakthrough by winning the EfA project for the "Digital building permit" focus service. The solution is currently being used by 10 federal states. A special technical feature is the newly developed process space technology ("VGR").

The VGR technology is to be made compatible with the VOIS technology of FORUM's sister company HSH Software in Ahrensfelde and marketed in the VOIS community.
